Welcome!

I am a sociologist, researching on questions around Internet, science and society. In particular, I am interested in how the Internet changes the way we deal with knowledge and its societal dynamics.

Currently I am a researcher at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS), which is part of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. I am working on a project on the opportunities and risks of cloud computing and I am co-authoring a book with my former employer Michael Nentwich from Vienna´s Institute of Technology Assessment (ITA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences: Cyberscience 2.0 - Research in the Age of Digital Social Networks. It picks up and deepens results of the project Interactive Science (funded by Volkswagen Foundation) for which I was working before.

You can find more information about my work on this website. Of course, you are welcome to contact me if you have further questions or ideas for co-operations. Thank you for your interest!
